Our story
From Getting Rejected to Helping Students Get Ahead
Junior Talks is a speaking and workshop brand built on one real problem: too many students feel lost, and most advice out there doesn't actually help.

The story behind Junior Talks
My first time on a stage, I was trying to sell a pop socket. High school competition, no idea what I was doing. I didn't win, but I didn't want to stop either.
That turned into competing through university, where I ended up walking away with over $21,000 CAD in grants and prizes across different competitions. Then it turned into pitching on the Web Summit stage, running my own workshops, and organizing events to help other students get into startups instead of just hearing about them.
Here's the honest reason I got into any of this: I was lost. Just like most students are. I applied to 250 jobs and got rejected by every single one. I know exactly what that feels like, and I don't think "lost" has to be a bad word. It can just be the part before you figure it out.
I'm also fairly loud about all of this on LinkedIn, mostly posting about whatever's actually happening: classes, failed attempts, small wins, conversations that changed how I think. Not a highlight reel, just the real version.
Junior Talks exists for one reason: to help students build, grow, and keep crushing it, even when they've got nothing planned and nothing ready.
Our roots
Junior Talks didn't start with a plan. It started with rejection.
This came from a personal problem: after sending out 250 job applications and getting rejected by nearly all of them, the question wasn't "why me," it was "how many other students feel exactly like this." That question became the reason to start talking about it publicly, and eventually, to start talking about it on stage.
Our mission
Most advice for students comes from people who either figured it out years ago or never really had to. That gap is the actual problem.
Junior Talks exists to close it, with real talks and workshops built from what actually happened, not theory, so students walk away with something they can use immediately.
